Vision centers are outreach centers to rural communities and provide direct services (screening, treatment, referral, and follow up) and community eye health information. The target population is all adults and children. Eye Care Centers is critical due to their direct link to communities reducing barriers of distance and cultural acceptance of medical services. Eye Care Centre facilitates follow up and monitoring of patients with chronic eye disease (glaucoma and retinal conditions), laser treatment for post operative posterior lens capsule opacification, and monitoring visual outcome of post-operative patients.
Bejan Singh Eye Hospital (P) Ltd conducts free out reach programmes in whole of
south Tamil Nadu and Kerala along with District Blindness Control Society of Tamil
Nadu (DBCS) and Lions Clubs International for performing free IOL surgeries.
Our team is comprised of qualified and experienced doctors, medical and paramedical
staffs who are supported by successful and experienced professional administrators to
effectively qualify ourselves as a full fledged Unit for sophistication. We have
qualified resident doctors round the clock, assisted by a group of qualified and
experienced medical and paramedical staff.
At the camp site patients are screened for various eye ailments. Besides medical
advises for minor eye problems, patients who require further treatment like cataract
are transported through our vehicle to the base hospital, surgeries are performed at
free of cost. Patients are also provided free food.
