The service handles general eye exams as well as common conditions such as chalazion and cataract surgery. As part of the service, patients with systemic illnesses can also undergo screening examinations. The appropriate subspecialty area is easily referred to any patient diagnosed with an equivocal or serious eye condition.
We maintain a Comprehensive Ophthalmology service with resident doctors under close supervision by our attending physicians. Our resident M.D.s, some of the country’s finest young physicians, are accepted to work here through a selective process and spend years in our department.
